Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generations

There is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations. Your challenge is to create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages.

TERRA

Summary

Today, pollution in the world is on the rise. TERRA is a continent-wide web page about environmental pollution. It is a good way to pass on the value of the environment and the importance of protecting the environment to future generations. This will be important to sustain our planet for future generations.

How We Addressed This Challenge

We first registered for the Nasa space apps challenge. After that I worked as per the updates given to the coordinates in Sri Lanka. At first our challenge was to choose a topic that suited us. Many people were of the opinion that the topic that our team can do is the topic of 'sustaining' and the topic of 'Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generation'. Our challenge was 'Communicate the importance of sustaining our home planet to people of generations'. Our next challenge was what we would create as a project. The groups then decided to create a webpage based on environmental changes, pollution across the continent. After starting the hackathon, we started developing the webpage. Our main challenge was to code it. Somehow the team got together and created it. Using the resources given to us by NASA, we were able to collect the data and finally complete our project

How We Developed This Project

Pollution occurs in different ways. These cause a lot of inconvenience to the people . So people need to be aware of these . And it is used to make people aware of how they affect people and to make it easier for the relevant authorities to be notified of any misconduct anywhere in the world. We hope to develop this further so that it can be easily understood by the people

*We used HTML and CSS code to develop our project webpage*

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We took data from NASA and JAXA's websites and created a variety of relevant tables that were easy for people to understand. They also created and inserted various information using the photographs taken in them.
