Summary
Our solution to this worldwide problem is social media. You might be wondering what social media has to do with saving our planet. That is really easy. People of all ages have different social media accounts, so if they were to see some content daily regarding these problems they would become more interested in our planet's well being. So they could easily access our webpage to find activities they can take part in to save the environment.
How We Addressed This Challenge
Sustaining our planet for the future generation is something that we have to do, not something that we should consider doing. Our planet is suffering, the people are suffering, the ecosystems are being destroyed and yet we don't take climate change seriously. We think that all we have to do is not throw trash in the ground… in fact we could do so much more to help our planet and improve the mistake that we have made so far.
We have to stop treating climate change like a school lesson, we read on books and do homework on and then we learn the lesson. But our planet is not a one-year time kind of lesson. We live on this planet and we should treat as part of our live. However, we take it lightly and take it as something that is always going to be there not changing, but is it really not changing?
Some of us treat it as a minor problem, something that others can solve and that it does not consider them. We rely on laws and regulations our whole life, we work to live and we can do anything we want as long as we do not disobey the law, so to do something we have to be given an ultimatum. We are humans, the only species on the planet that is intelligent enough to control their actions fully, that is why we should help save our planet not by laws or obligations but by making it an important part of our lives. So I’m asking you to stop for a moment just close your eyes and think about what you can do, how can you encourage your families and friends to change, just close your eyes and feel that you too are part of this planet and as such you should contribute to make it better. On Earth live thousands of different species from where we have contributed to extinction hundreds of them and we are endangering hundred others. Why do you consider yourself the only species on the planet and treat the planet like we have another one to go to after using this one? We spend millions of dollars every year on stupid things that we consider fashion, that bring endanger to this planet as much as pollution. Killing for fashion, destroying planets for trending and ignoring because of laziness is what is bringing our planet toward completing changing for the worst. Maybe we think okay I am trying to do something but that does not change anything… This is where you are wrong. Only with small action done by everyone can we lead toward the biggest change. When we put saving our planet as our goal then others might take it as such too.
If we want to improve the quality of our lives, we should take action to save our planet. We spend an enormous amount of money to explore space to find another planet with conditions to live in, while we don't spend a quarter of that amount to save the one we are living in.
For this reason, the information related to climate change and the world should be available to anyone and be as trending as a famous Tik Toker or other influencer on the internet. Social media is now a big part of our life in this generation so why not use it for a good cause. This is why our group is working through different social medias to bring more awareness to the public, so why not join us Future Alchemist to bring today's problems to tomorrow's solutions.
How We Developed This Project
We are a team of 5 young activists that want to do a change in our community. In our country the laws to protect the planet are either nonexistent or not punishable so many of the people that live here in Albania do not understand how much our planet is suffering. That is what brought us together and made us choose this challenge.
Books and the internet all contain a lot of information and people access them really rarely, when they need something. While social media on the other side is widely used by everyone everyday. So when we inform people through social media we are making it a part of their daily life. If people see it everyday on their favourite form of entertainment then it will become a pressing matter for them.
Then comes step 2 of our project, the website. The main use of the website is to inform the people in a more detailed way and that's not even half of it, after the user has logged in ,for everything that he does and the planet benefits, he or she can win points and with every point they win the little planet on their profile becomes greener and cleaner. Of course that our project now is only a prototype and can not do such things. We plan on working on it even later because it is something one can only benefit from.
To build our project we have used mark-up languages like HTML and Css for the website, and we have used Instagram to inform the people through social media.
We have achieved a lot during these three days. Firstly it was meeting and forming a team with diversity in thought and skill and then it was the time to really begin the project. We successfully made a plain and functional prototype website and we were able to find some beautiful content for both our website and social media account.
As for our difficulties , we had a hard time finding the authors and designers of some of our posts and information, most of them we were able to use after tagging the designer and citing the web pages, and some others we took from the resources list and tagged NASA in our posts.
In the end for us this is the best begging of our new adventure that we could ever ask for.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project
We made use of the resources that NASA CSA, CNES, JAXA had provided for us. In fact they wre the first information that we used to build our ideas. Looking at the statistics and the information from the satellites made us work more as now the situation was worse than we had thought. It influenced us to look for more ways to save the planet. Except for the influence we found a lot of information that we later used to form our ideas on these websites. We also took a lot of images from https://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/imagegallery/iotd.html
