Sustaining Our Planet for Future Generations

There is concern worldwide that environmental issues we face today will have an impact on future generations. Your challenge is to create a way to communicate the importance of environmental responsibility to people of all ages.

Sustaining our planet for future generations (Climate change: a global phenomenon)

Summary

The main aim of our project is to enlighten people of all age groups about climate change. Bringing together the NASA data and combining our efforts, we have simplified and presented the important data in the form of a video series. It includes:1. Climate change and it's consequences.2. What can we do about it?3. There's still hope!4. Our take on tackling climate change.5. Efforts put by some of the organizations to overcome climate change. We have tried our best to blend in the aesthetics of NASA as well as our research information. By the end of this project, we are sure you will definitely have a clear picture on this phenomenon and be motivated towards safe guarding our planet.

How We Addressed This Challenge

Our team has proficiently researched on this topic, so as to sort out crucial measures that could be followed by every lay man. Our goal is not to start big, but to address issues from the grassroots level and find efficient initiatives.

Clarity comes from eliminating options and implementing action. We've left behind an important progress, "a bacteria that decomposes plastic"

To address a global threat, such as this, it is hard to generalize and come to one single outcome. Hence, we have tried our best to view this phenomenon in different angles and produce outcomes for each one of it relatively.

The most pressing issue of plastic is taken into consideration. By the given data, we've interconnected the dots and culminated measures.

Information and analysis can be useful only when it is understood. Simplifying our efforts into a video series that takes you through a movie that glorifies hope in every aspect.

With climate change comes "climate depression" which is already another pandemic itself

Rather than just manifesting the hazards we have illuminated every aspect with a hope for the better future.

All the videos have been narrated by the teammates of this project.

How We Developed This Project

Being a part of this beautiful planet is itself a privilege. And a mere fact that it is in danger should be enough for us to get motivated and act. Our sole purpose was to convey our statement loud and clear, that could be understood by any person with/without prior knowledge about this crisis.

This project is a combined effort of the team. The NASA data that was accessible to us played a vital key in joining dots and generalizing powerful actions.

We used a couple of camera equipment for shooting and 'Camtasia' software for video editing. Our main challenge was to breakdown the complicated data into simpler ones. And with a little bit of efforts we were able to pull it through.

How We Used Space Agency Data in This Project

NASA's climate kids' and image gallery has been the base of our research. The 'NASA climate' is another data that came handy in many aspects. The "JAXA for earth" enabled us to choose statistical data from a wide range of observations. Especially while jotting down the actions we accessed the NASA citizen science. Along with all this, we used external links from Wikipedia and other sources to gather information.
